Well, Hello, Mr. Prime Minister

Two Words: Oh, shit.
So, did you vote? I cast my ballot last night, and only made my final decision in the ballot booth. I was waffling between NDP and Liberal, sadly. I finally decided to vote with my heart, as I was quite certain that the Liberals would get in anyway in my riding. If it was a close Tory/Liberal race, I probably would have given my vote to the Liberals to ensure that the Tories didn't get.
So, locally, my strategy worked. Nationally? Not so much.
When it's all said and done, though, a Conservative minority is probably not THAT bad. The conservatives are pretty much on their own, and the Liberals and NDPs can now, hopefully, join voices to give Harper a hard time, or at least keep him in check.
But still, the dude fucking FREAKS ME OUT.

You and me both. I guess things could have been much worse, but I am still scared of what the future holds with Stephen Harper in charge, even if it is a minority government.

This is just wrong! Okay - yes - maybe the gov't needs a change - but don't just settle for _this_ kind of change! that's like saying a workplace needs to be more efficient, so they hire child slaves!! argh!
Soooo - does anyone else think Harper is the Anti-Christ?

It's certainly going to be an interesting...what, 18 months? I must say I was...well, impressed isn't quite the right word, but my eyebrows did raise at the "Northern Sovereignty" press conference... Better than our troops going to Afganistan I suppose... In any case, let us not forget about the Bloc!!!
